Wow, what a day!!! Yesterday morning, at around 8:30am, Autumn began the early labor process, and boy did it drag on. We called our doctor around 5PM and he wanted us to come in for a pregnancy check. Well, six hours later, without much progress, they decided to break Autumn's water. That's when things got scary/exciting. Within twenty minutes, Autumn was having very strong contractions, and then that is when things got a little scary. Briley's heart rate began to drop dramatically. The doctor and nurses were running around the room and Autumn and I both just had the look of fear and helplessness. After a couple minutes, Briley's heart rate came up again but our doctor decided we needed to do a c-section. Twenty minutes later, Briley Mae Early was born at 11:33pm and weighed in at 6 lbs, 4 1/2 ounces and 19 inches. Both Autumn and Briley are doing great today and we our enjoying our first hours as a family. We will keep you posted with more pictures.
