It was another beautiful weekend here and we took full advantage of it. We spent Saturday being lazy and hanging out at home. We went to the park for awhile and then Briley and Andy snuggled up for a nap. As we were swinging at the park Andy and I both became a little motion sick while Briley could swing for hours. As a child we both spent hours out swinging on the swing set and now we can't swing five minutes without feeling nauseous. Is this a sign of getting older? After sliding and swinging for an hour, Andy and I thought it was time to head back home but Briley did not agree. I think she could have spent the whole day on the swing! That night we went to Imo's to eat some pizza and found out that Briley likes Imo's pizza! Yeah, we have finally found another item to add to her small list of acceptable foods. After eating, we hurried home to watch the Mizzou game. Andy was not too much fun to hang out with during this game so I made a tutu. I am trying to build up my supply for Christmas sells.
On Sunday, Andy woke up to pink eye. Briley and I had been sick this week with a bit of a cold and we found out that pink eye can be caused by contact with someone that has a sore throat, which I had. He got pink eye the last time I got sick. I told him that he will be in trouble when we have a more kids. Briley dug through some clothes in her closet this morning and found her fairy shoes and swimsuit bottoms that she just had to have on with her nightgown. She looked so funny that we had to get a few pictures of her. Now when we tell her to smile, she gives us the goofiest face. She wrinkles her nose and squints her eyes and Andy and I can't stop laughing. She looks so ornary! After going to pick up eye drops, we headed out to the Pumpkin Patch. Briley really enjoyed all the fun activities that they had there. We got to see all the farm animals. Briley was not a fan of feeding the goats, but she really like the BIG "Doggie" (cow). She also thought the baby pigs were funny while they were climbing all over each other to drink from the mommy pig. After looking at all the animals, we got to play on some more slides and ramps. They also had a pumpkin masher, pumpkin popper, and hay maze. We didn't attempt the corn maze with Briley because she was beginning to get a little grumpy. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and Briley loved riding in the wheelbarrow. She picked her pumpkin out and then she was ready to be put back in the wheelbarrow again. She didn't like walking around because she kept tripping on the vines. We only got three pumpkins this year unlike our 107 pounds from last year. Andy keeps reminding me that we are on a tight budget until we get our house in February. Well I better go for now, I have got to get things done before I go back to work tomorrow. Andy and Briley have the day off tomorrow due to Columbus Day so I am sure we will have updates of their day together.
