Congratulations Zane and Kaitlin and Happy Father's Day!

This past weekend we went home to celebrate the marriage of Andy's sister Kaitlin to Zane. The weekend was a whirlwind. Our anniversary was Thursday night and we celebrated that with dinner at the Pear Tree with Andy's grandparents, aunts, and uncles on our way in to town. The dinner was delicious, but I wouldn't say that it was the most romantic anniversary. Oh well what do you do?
The next day was spent decorating the reception hall and then we were off to their Catholic wedding, rehearsal, and then we went out to celebrate. Briley stayed with my Mom so that Andy and I could stay out late and then sleep in. It was the first time we had both ever left her for the night, but she didn't seem to mind.
Saturday morning was beautiful! I was in charge of the bridal brunch and then everyone was off to get their hair done. I stayed behind and helped with things while Andy and Briley did a little swimming.
Later that afternoon we got dressed for pictures that started at 3:00. By 4:30 the clouds were beginning to roll in and there was talk of rain. We moved the wedding up a bit and cut the ceremony short to avoid the rain. Briley had no trouble at all walking down the aisle. She and her cousins were adorable! The ceremony was very sweet. As Kaitlin and Zane made their way back down the aisle, the rain began and we all ran for cover. We weren't able to get pictures done at the time because of the rain so we waited till we got to the reception. The rain let up just enough for us to take some pictures outside by some old buildings. I really think they are going to turn out pretty neat. The rain may have been a little stressfull but they say that it is good luck on your wedding day. I'm sure it will hold true for Zane and Kaitlin.
After pictures, we headed into the reception and that is when the fun began. Briley had such a good time dancing with everyone. She danced until she could not dance anymore.
On Sunday, the Taylors opened their presents and a lot of family came over for brunch and swimming. Later that afternoon we went to Dad's for dinner before heading home. We were all exhausted by the time we got home. It was difficult to go to work on Monday. Sitting on a beach in Mexico sounds like a better idea to me. It's too bad Zane and Kaitlin didn't invite us to come along.
