Baylor is Two Months Old!

Last Friday Baylor, Briley, and I got up early to go to garage sales with one of our old neighbors who recently moved. I have not been to garage sales in years but decided it might be fun go along with her. I didn't have anything in particular that I was looking for but I did run into this console table at a moving sale. It works perfectly in our entryway. I have been looking for one that I could put a lamp on because the entryway can be really dark at night, but we don't want the overhead light on. After that we went to the doctor for Briley's three year well check and Baylor's two month check up. Briley weighed in at 27 pounds and 36 inches tall. She is in the 25th percentile for both categories. Baylor weighed 12 pounds 3.2 ounces and is 22 inches tall. He is in the 75th percentile for weight and the 25th percentile for height. Baylor also got three shots so he was not a happy camper this weekend. Poor little guy! We decided to move Baylor to his own room Friday night and he did a great job. He has been sleeping through the night for the most part. He usually goes to bed between 9:00 and 10:00 and then he will get up to eat between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. We are so lucky to have such good sleepers! On Saturday, Andy and I had some old friends from college over for a BBQ. It had been entirely too long since we had seen them. We spent the night eating and catching up while the kids played. We said we are really going to have to get together more often in the future. I should have thought to take pictures but I didn't. We went to the park on Sunday since it was such a beautiful day. We took a picnic lunch to eat and Briley quickly finished eating so that she could go play. I know I have said it before but this girl really loves a good park. We played on the playground equipment for awhile and then we went down to the pond. They have these really cool stepping stones in the water to go across. I really wonder how many people fall in. We also checked out some baby ducks and turtles before heading back home. Baylor turns two months old today which is hard to believe! Time really does fly. This is our last week of my maternity leave. Briley is really looking forward to going back to school and seeing her friends again. She also is excited about having Miss Nancy's cooking again. It seems I don't cook anything as good as Miss Nancy. Baylor has one more week of getting spoiled before he is introduced to eight other babies and is not the center of attention. I'm sure he will be just fine. As much as I hate my leave coming to an end, I think we will all benefit from being on a schedule again. We are going back to school right when summer camp starts so there is a lot of fun activities coming up. Summer is my favorite time at school because of the fun visitors, field trips, and activities going on. I'm sure Miss Briley is ready for it.
