Wow! Where has this past month gone? Life has been busy for us lately which is kind of crazy because we tend to slow down in the winter. Andy has been busy tiling our two upstairs bathrooms and they look great! It is so nice to finally get that off of our to do list, and I know Andy is happy to be done with it. I think we are now done with projects for a little while at least.
In the middle of redoing our bathrooms, we had a snow storm that actually closed my school for two days. I have had five snow days in eight years so I was pretty excited to not have to venture out to school in the snow with all three kids in tow. I think after last years fiasco of opening school and then getting stuck there has changed thoughts on closing for the better. I am soooo hoping that we are done with snow, but I'm sure that it is wishful thinking.
Last week my sister came back to visit, and although it was dreadfully cold we did have a good time. We had Finley's baptism, and it has to go in the books for maybe the most awkward baptism I have witnessed, but it gave us all a laugh afterwards. It was one of those situations where no one could make eye contact because we knew we would start laughing.
We also trampled through the snow to go to the Westbottoms for some antiquing. It was cold, but it made it not as crowded down there. I came out with a chair for my craft area and probably could have nabbed a few more items if I had the time and money.
We also did a little bowling, laser tag, Tooth Fairy visit, and Boulevard Brewery tour to cap off my sister's stay. I think a good time was had by all;)
Lastly, we headed to Iowa this past weekend for Mr. Owen's 3rd Birthday. We always time it just right to have awful weather when we head up to Iowa. This trip did not disappoint us, as the roads were again terrible. Andy and I decided that maybe we should plan a trip in the summer next time:) Oh well, we made it and his party was adorable. We were glad we got to celebrate Owen's special day!
