Last week, we celebrated Miss Finley Grace’s 11th birthday, and it was a day full of joy and surprises. Finley at 11 is all about skin care, makeup, Kanakuk, Taylor Swift, Lauren Daigle, and now scooter rides. The morning began with balloons filling her room, and we kicked off the day with breakfast rolls and chocolate milk. While she was getting ready for school, we surprised her with her first present—an electric scooter waiting in the garage with a balloon tied to it. Since then, she and Atticus have been riding their scooters to school every day.
That evening, we invited the Brawners over for dinner, where we enjoyed chicken and dumplings, followed by an ice cream cake. Although Finley loved all her presents, I think her favorite ones were the scooter and her Ugg slides.
Over the weekend, Finley celebrated with a simple but fun pool party with friends and baby Seger. The highlight of the day was the Kona Ice truck, which had everyone excited. When I asked if she wanted me to plan some games, she confidently said no—they could entertain themselves—and they certainly did! Finley has a gift for bringing different groups of friends together, and she loved spending time with all of them in one place. It was a perfect celebration for our sweet girl.
Finley is the cheerleader of our family, always lifting us up with her radiant spirit and boundless love. Finley gives her whole, genuine self to everyone she meets, sharing the same sincere heart, passion for dance, nurturing soul, and love of learning as her mother. As Autumn perfectly said, 'A light shines within her, and she brings us pure joy.' Never change for anyone little girl.
