Ok, Ok...Here's an Update

Ok, we can take a hint…we probably need to be posting a little more but unlike some people, we actually have to work during the day. Anyway, this past week has been a busy one and to further complicate matters, Briley has her top two front teeth coming in, actually one of them had already broke through so you can imagine what a peach she has been. On Valentines Day Autumn and I were lucky enough to get a babysitter for the night so we could go and enjoy a romantic night out on the town. We were able to get reservations at Skies, a revolving restaurant that sits 42 stories atop the Hyatt Hotel at Crown Center. The views, ambiance and food were all spectacular and it was great to have a nice QUIET meal with just the two of us. Aside from the teething, Briley enjoyed her first Valentines Day and I must say she was an awfully cute Valentine.

This weekend Grandma and Papa Early along with Molly came into town for a visit and it was great to see them. The weather was not wonderful, but we were able to go down to the Plaza for the day on Saturday for some lunch and shopping. Briley really enjoyed spending time with our guest and Viva was as excited as I think I have ever seen her; she could not get enough attention from Papa Early. After whining for about a half hour after they left, she has been fast asleep, recovering from all of the excitement.

Grandma and Papa Early gave Briley a new book for Valentines Day called “Snowmen at Night” and as luck would have it, this morning we had the perfect snow for making a snowman, I mean snowbaby. Since we are in the midst of a long, snowy, winter we decided to go with a summer theme and dress our snowbaby in a bikini and sun hat. We wanted to use Briley’s sunglasses as well but apparently she has hidden them very well. Briley was very curious at first but eventually she became comfortable with it and was even able to stand next to it all by herself for awhile without falling down.

Well there you go; that is what has been happening with us this past week. In order to avoid the ridicule, we will attempt to update more often after we get off WORK. We hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. Take care.
