On March 24th, we celebrated Baylor’s 15th birthday, and what a journey it has been! Reflecting on the past year, it’s incredible to see how much he has grown and transformed from a kid into a teenager in just 12 short months. I was looking at pictures the other day, and on the first day of school, Briley was still taller. But just a month later, Baylor had surpassed her by a comfortable margin. I bought him pants during Black Friday, and by Christmas, they were already highwaters!
At 15, Baylor carries a quiet confidence and maturity beyond his years. Yet, he’s still every bit the middle school boy, navigating his way with a mix of curiosity, determination, and a touch of awkwardness. He shares Autumn’s dry wit, measured excitement, and cautious sense of adventure. Baylor is fiercely protective of those he loves and has a strong moral compass, even if he doesn’t always follow it 😉.
He enjoys hanging out with his friends, spending time with his girlfriend Dorothy, and listening to rap music on his headphones. He is fully invested in the LA Lakers, loves a nice clean pair of sneakers, enjoys running, and also appreciates a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. His driving skills are coming along, but he might be a bit too confident, leading to some white-knuckle moments and choice words when riding with him.
We couldn’t imagine our family without Baylor right in the middle. We are so excited to see where life takes him because we know it’s going to be something wonderful. Happy 15th, Baylor Man!
