The Great American BBQ

We took Viva to get her hair shaved on Saturday morning for summer. We dropped her off and they called us six hours later! She said she loved every minute of getting pampered.

After waiting all day for Viva to get finished at the pet spa, we went out to the Great American BBQ Saturday afternoon with my friend Monica. Andy was dissapointed that we missed the BBQ samples that had been going on all day, but we did get to try some great BBQ. We chose the stand with the longest line and the most trophies and they did not dissapoint. After we ate, we walked around all the different BBQ stands and I must say we did some great people watching if you could imagine. Andy was amazed at some of the BBQ grills. They were pretty fancy. I personally enjoyed the pig shaped grills. We also listened to a Cross Canadian Ragweed wanna be band. They were pretty good and Briley enjoyed it. The video is of her dancing to "My Baby Loves Me Stoned". It's a good thing she doesn't know what that means, ; she just liked the beat. Overall, we had a great time, and I know we will be back next year. We now know to come earlier, bring a cooler (we did see a guy riding his motorized cooler around), and get a weekend pass. We think this is the perfect place for my Dad, Uncle, and Brother. We think Asa should be entered into the Rib Eating Contest.

Afterwards we headed home to meet Amity at our place. She has come to stay the rest of the weekend with us. We spent Sunday at the pool and I think we have a girl who is going to love playing in the pool! We couldn't keep Briley out of it eventhough it was freezing. She is our little daredevil!
