We have had a busy week in the Early household. My Mom and Asa came down on Wednesday night to spend a few days with us. We were supposed to have Andy's first softball game on Wednesday, but it was canceled due to the 8 inches of rain that we got the night before. Instead of going to the game, my Mom and I went to see Mama Mia. What a fun movie! It is definitely a movie that I will want when it comes out on video.
On Thursday, Briley stayed at home with Grandma and Uncle Asa. They went to the pool for a while and just hung out. Briley had her last swim lessons that night. As much fun as she had at swim lessons, it will be nice to not have to rush around on Thursdays to get to her class on time. That night we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and it was delicious as usual.
Grandma, Uncle Asa, and Briley got up and went to Deanna Rose Farm on Friday morning before it got too hot. Briley had a lot of fun seeing all the different animals and she really enjoyed feeding the goats. I left work early on Friday and we headed downtown to see the Bodies Revealed exhibit at Union Station. This exhibit was amazing to me. It was very cool to see all the stuff I learned through college in reality. The human body is pretty incredible. That night Andy, Asa, and I went to The Dark Knight. The movie did not disappoint us. We can't wait for the next one to come out!
We got up on Saturday morning and headed out to the Legends for some shopping. Asa got a few things for school and Briley got to play in the fountains for awhile. Afterwards, my Mom and Asa left to go home and Andy and I got things ready for our dinner party that we had last night. We had three couples over for dinner and it really went well. Briley was a charmer as usual. She was very excited to show off all of her toys and of course her dance moves. I think they were all very impressed. She stayed up till 10:00 and she was kind enough to sleep in till 10:00 this morning. This does not happen very often, but I really appreciated it after staying up late the night before.
Sunday was spent lounging around the house because it was just too hot to go outside. We did venture out that night for pizza at Spin.
Andy and I wanted to make another note to those who think St. Louis is so wonderful. We have made another best list. We are number three on the best place to raise a family. We're so happy that Briley is being raised in such a safe and family friendly place.
