Fun at the Plaza Art Fair!

This past weekend we took advantage of the beautiful weather we’ve had and spent most of the time outside. We began the day Saturday by taking Viva to the off-leash dog park for the first time and we were somewhat nervous about how she would fair. Those who have had the privilege of meeting our big fur ball of energy, know that she does not know a stranger. When we run into other dogs on walks she always thinks they want to play, even if they act like they will bite her face off if she gets any closer. So we were pleasantly surprised when she made it through the experience unscathed. That probably has more to do with the temperament of the other dogs, rather then Viva behaving because at one time or another I think she was in the face of every dog and every person there. Thanks to the heat, it’s was not too long before Viva way lying under the shade tree. This weekend was also the Plaza Art Fair, one of our more enjoyable Kansas City events. We ventured down there with Autumn’s friend Monica on Saturday evening. Now you probably thinking – I didn’t know Andy was into art? – well you are right. The reason I love the art fair is the FOOD; all of the restaurants down on the Plaza set up stands; it’s a food lovers dream. The hard part is deciding what you want; too many options. They also had live bands and as you can see from the video below, Briley like to show off her moves. We ran into the former assistant director at Autumn’s work and she had her little girl with her who was in Briley’s class before they left. You should have seen the smiles on their faces when they saw each other. They just stood their holding each others hands and dancing; it was pretty cute. Well that pretty much sums up our weekend; hope your week is going well.
