Happy Thanksgiving!

On Wednesday, we headed back home for Thanksgiving. This was a short trip because Andy had to be back to work on Friday. We went out on the town that night with some of our old friends from high school. It is like a class reunion every year. We missed out last year because we were in Colorado so we were excited to see everyone this year. We enjoyed seeing everyone and catching up on where people are and what they are doing. Lissy had promised to watch Briley that night so we were very excited to sleep in on Thursday after staying up late. Well, 5:00 a.m. rolled around and there was a knock on the door and Briley had come to join us. Unfortunately, Lissy did not want to get up at 5:00 so Andy got up with her while I got to sleep in. Thank you Andy for letting me sleep in:). We had breakfast at Andy's parents and then we were off and running.
We went to my Mom's for lunch with my Grandparents and then we went to Edina for the Killday Thanksgiving. After that, we headed to my Dad's to hang out before heading to Ellie's 2nd birthday party. What a fun day for your birthday! Who wouldn't want a Thanksgiving dinner for their birthday dinner? The food and party was absoulutely wonderful! I think Ellie really enjoyed herself and Briley really enjoyed her stroller. It is a good thing she is getting one for Christmas because I think fights would break out otherwise. After dinner, gifts, and cake, we packed up and headed back home. I got to drive since Andy had gotten up with Briley that morning. We walked in the door and went straight to bed. What an exhausting Thanksgiving!
On Friday morning, I got up and battled the crowds for the Black Friday sales. Briley was a trooper until we got to the last store and then she was done and she let everyone in the store know it. One of the sales ladies tried to help while I was waiting in line, but Briley would have none of it. She would rather throw herself on the ground and cry. What fun! Afterwards, we went home with our loot and Briley had some french fries and went down for a nap. I am almost done with my shopping and that makes me soooo happy. I love to get done early so that I can really enjoy the Christmas season without the stress of shopping. I hope to get it all done this week.
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing! We went by the houses that we have our eyes on buying and imagined how we were going to decorate them next year. Andy is going to be Clark Griswold. His goal is to have our house be the best decorated on the block. He is already planning how he would do the lights and where the Christmas trees will go in each of the houses. We can hardly wait! We went to Church on Sunday and Briley got to wear one of her cute Christmas dresses that she borrowed from Ellie. I love going to Church during the advent season. Below are some attempts I made of getting Cindy Lou Who pictures. I didn't have much luck so I had to use other pictures for the Christmas card. Oh well! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
