I know it has been a couple of weeks since we last updated the blog but things have been pretty low key around here as we get ready for Christmas and aside from some stocking stuffers we are done with all of our shopping. The weekend before last we watched some football and ventured down to the Plaza for some dinner and to see the lights. We had went down there to pick up the annual Plaza Christmas ornament that we have gotten for the last three years only to find out they were all gone…Autumn was not too happy about this.
This past Saturday we ventured to the mall; they had a sing along with Funky Momma (Briley’s favorite singer), free donuts and milk, and a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas by whom else…Santa Claus. We then took Briley to sit on Santa’s lap and that’s when she wigged out…she is not a fan of Santa Claus, at least when she is that close to him. When we got far enough away, she did tell him “bye bye”. We then watched our alma mater, Northwest Missouri State, lose their fourth straight national championship and our friends Jon and Tab Cleaver came into town for the Chiefs game. Aunt Amity also came into town as she had an interview for the masters program at Rockhurst (we are keeping our fingers crossed). They were all three nice enough to watch Briley on Saturday night while Autumn and I went to my banks Christmas party. We cannot thank all three of them enough as they saved us from having to pay a babysitter. On Sunday Jon and I went to the Chiefs game with our friends Steven Turner and Aaron Froehlich while the girls did some shopping and ventured to an open house. The game was a good time; we went to the VIP tailgate where it was all you can eat, all you can drink and even better yet, the tent is heated. The temperature was 60 degrees when we went into tailgate and was 30 degrees when we came out and by the end of the game the temperature was in the low 20’s. We left with two minutes to go in the game and the Chiefs up by 10 points…we said there was no way they could lose this game and if there was we did not want to watch it. Well needless to say, they lost the game.

GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
I have also attached a video of Briley and Viva playing together; Briley has become obsessed with Viva, or as Briley calls her “ava”. The main reason I am positing the video is because of Briley’s laugh…it’s so funny. We hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying the holiday season. Take Care.
