Briley has been asking us for several days to go see Santa Claus. We decided to take her yesterday morning. She was so excited to see "Ho Ho". She wanted to tell him that she wanted "big pink toys". We went to Bass Pro and Briley could care less about all the activities that they had for kids. All she cared about was speaking to Ho Ho. Well, we stood in line and when it was her turn she walked right up and sat on his lap. She had that shy look on her face that she gives and she fought back smiling. She didn't want anyone to know how excited she was at that moment. She has been asking to go back to see him constantly since we left. It was a better experience than what she had last year that is for sure.
After leaving, I headed out for my marathon of shopping. I told Andy I would not be done until it was done. I didn't get it all done, but I came very close. I finished up on Sunday. Let's just say that when I got to the grocery store which was the end of my journey, I parked right up front in the spot reserved for pregnant and new mothers. I wish every place I went to yesterday had that. I would have really appreciated it.
After Church today, we came home and got to work. Andy worked on putting drywall up in the basement and I made eight loaves of poppyseed bread for our neighbors. I feel like my body from the waist down might just fall off. It is amazing what pregnancy can do to you. I just ache and need a massage. I still have dinner to make for my staff at school this week on Thursday and then I should be about done with my holiday baking. We'll see.
