The Early household has been a busy one for the past eight weeks. Since we last posted, we have gone back home for my Mom's wedding and then again for our ten year class reunion. My Mom and Jeff's wedding was on July 31. The wedding and reception turned out really nice, and it was great catching up with so many people that we have not seen in awhile. I unfortunately did not get many pictures during the ceremony but Andy's sister has some on her blog. Congratulations you two!
Last weekend was our ten year class reunion. It is hard to believe it has been that long. It is funny that some people we haven't seen in ten years, and we can fall right back into a conversation with them like we had just seen them yesterday. We had a great turn out. I would say about 75 classmates came back over the course of the weekend. It was great catching up with everyone and meeting their families. The weekend flew by and I was a little sad when it ended because I know that I probably won't see many of these people again for another five years. At least we have facebook these days to keep in touch with each other.
This weekend was perfect! It was so nice to finally be home for a weekend to get stuff done around the house. I worked on putting Baylor and Briley's clothes away that no longer fit, cleaning, doing the laundry, and uploading/editing pictures from summer. Andy spent the weekend outside caulking and fixing things around the house. On Saturday night, we went to Starlight to see Beauty and the Beast. Briley loved it! She has been to several shows at Starlight and she usually never stays awake for the second half because they are so late but she was wide-eyed till the end. She of course asked a lot of questions throughout the show which I'm sure those around us loved but then again, we had to listen to them go on and on about how much better their son's middle school production was. The kid even wore his Beauty and the Beast shirt and talked like Lumeaire throughout the show. They were also good about letting everyone around them know what part was coming up next like we all haven't seen it before. Oh well, we still enjoyed the show. I just got a lot of eye rolls from Andy:)
Last but not least, Mr. Baylor has had a few firsts over the past few weeks. He has started eating cereal and trying out a few vegetables. He likes sweet potatoes, but threw a fit when I gave him green beans. He has also started rolling over from his back to his tummy which is VERY exciting. Now Andy and I won't have to get up in the middle of the night when he flips himself over to his back and then gets mad about it. The first day of school for the year is tomorrow so I better go get some sleep before the crazy week begins.
