Sitting on Santa's Lap

We started off this past weekend going to a farewell party for Briley's best friend who will be going to a new school starting in January. These two kiddos have been inseparable since they began in the infant room. I really don't think I have ever seen two kids that are so close at such a young age. His two other siblings also attended our school and were in my class when they were younger. His parents decided to have a party to thank all of the teachers for everything they have done for their children. The party was supposed to end at 8:30 and we didn't leave until 11:30. We have decided that we will have to get together a few times a year so that they can remain buddies. His Mom has hopes of these two getting hitched someday. On Saturday, we went out to Bass Pro Shop to visit Santa. We got there at 10:45 and had a bass pass for 12:30. We walked around the store, checked out the fish and a big bear that Briley wouldn't get near, and climbed around the boats and tents while we waited. Briley did a great job with Santa this year, and Baylor seemed very intrigued by him. Briley asked for tic tacs, cheetos, and a guitar for Christmas, and Baylor is asking for his two front teeth. One came in this week and we have one more to go! On Sunday I spent the day wrapping presents and cleaning the house for Christmas. Briley keeps saying that we have to clean the house to make Santa happy. Baylor was a bit grumpy if he wasn't sleeping. Did I mention that he is teething? He is also at a very frustrating age because he hasn't figured out the crawling thing yet. He gets up on all fours and rocks but falls everytime he tries to move and this infuriates him. As much as I am not ready for him to become mobile, I know he will be much more content on the ground if he can move!
