After Christmas with the family, we drove back home for a few days. Andy went to work and I spent some time putting toys away and reorganizing the house. We also met up with Briley's old teacher at the mall for a little bit. It was fun catching up with her and hearing all about her new school.
It was far too short of time before we were back in the car and going back home again for Andy's sister's baby shower and New Year's. The baby shower's theme was "These little wonders" and it was so cute! Everyone did such a great job putting it all together.
New Year's Eve was spent throwing an impromptu engagement party for Caroline and Jared, playing games, eating, and drinking. We were all dragging a little bit probably due to all the work that was put into the shower earlier in the day and partly due to the fact that we are getting old, so we decided to ring in the new year with the east coast. We then went to my Dad's house to get ready for bed and actually all were awake at midnight. In fact, that is when the party started for Baylor. I don't think he fell asleep till about 1:30 a.m.
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing. We came back home on Sunday and back to work on Tuesday. I packed up all the Christmas stuff on Monday afternoon (sorry Lissy). I am sad that Christmas is over but at the same time it is refreshing to pack up the clutter. Our house feels so much cleaner. We do still have our lights on outside so Christmas isn't completely gone yet.
