Briley told Andy Tuesday morning that the blizzards were coming. Andy asked her what a blizzard was, and she said it was a big blue bug and they hide in the snow mountains (snow mounds) outside. She watched out the window all day to catch a glimpse of them.
The groundhog has made his predictions and spring is just around the corner! Let's hope he is right and this is the last of snow. We have been home for the past two days due to the weather and I am so happy about it. This is the first time my school has closed in five years due to the weather!! The first day was a mistake on the news station who put the wrong school on tv. I see the cancellation, get back in bed, and then get a call from my boss saying that we aren't closing and she wants me to go to school and get it taken off the news. I start calling teachers who are not at all pleased with me and start getting ready. My boss calls a little later and has had a change of heart and says she won't fight the posting. I am so grateful that she decided to do this because I think I could have been stuck at school with this snow storm. It was a blessing in disguise that they posted our school and can you believe some parents were mad at our closings! Sometimes I really wonder about people.
Not a lot has been going on the past couple of weeks. Andy took Briley sledding around the snow a couple of weeks ago which she loved and then she was off to Kirksville for the week. Our house was really quiet and clean while she was gone...a little too quiet and clean. We missed her while she was gone , but I think she enjoyed herself.
Baylor has now started pulling himself up to the coffee table which is fun. I am so happy that he has finally become mobile. He seems to be a much happier boy. He is also in love with food if its not a vegetable. He gets really mad at us if we are eating something different than him. He wants everything we are eating and he has to feed himself which is fun when it is lasagna or anything else that is super messy:)
