Two weekends ago my sister and her friend came to town. It was a crazy weekend with me having a school open house Saturday morning, coming home and picking up my sister and her friend to go antique shopping, and then going out with some friends while Amity and her friends babysat the kids. THANK YOU for watching the kids not just Saturday night, but for also watching them Sunday so we could sleep in. Amity made her first snowman with Briley Sunday afternoon. It is hard to believe that you could be in your mid-twenties and never have built a snowman before.
This weekend we had a special surprise for Miss Briley. We took her and Baylor to Coco Key Water Resort for her Valentine's Day gift. She loved it but didn't understand why there were other people there at her special surprise. I guess we should have rented out the whole place. I was worried that there wouldn't be enough for her to do there for her age, but there was plenty. She had so much fun going from one place to the next. We will have to go again someday.
We had an exciting Valentine's Day around the Early household. It started with parties at school, which is always exciting. Briley loved passing out all of her Valentine cards and of course getting valentines. Tonight, we ate a heart shaped pizza, opened a few gifts, and watched Winnie the Pooh. Andy got me yummy cupcakes from Three Women and an Oven, and I got him a French Silk Pie and magazine subscription. We also got each other the same card that really fits our lives perfectly right now. It said " Just because we've been married awhile doesn't mean we can't enjoy Valentine's Day." When you open the card it had a Mom, Dad, son, daughter, and dog in the bed and it said, "Oh wait, yes it does." I guess great minds think alike. That's our lives at the moment. We hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!
