A few weeks ago we went up to Iowa to visit the Taylor family and meet our newest little nephew. Owen is such a cutie, and soo sweet. He did really well putting up with his crazy cousins running around. We stayed at a local hotel while we were there and the kids enjoyed swimming. There was a zero-depth entry so even Brady and Baylor got to enjoy themselves. After some swimming and pizza, we went over to the Carrol Bowling Alley and played a few games. We lucked out and it was cosmic bowling so the kids got highlighters and got to write all over themselves and their Aunt Lissy:) Briley had such a good time that she whines about how much she misses Kaitlin and Zane, and wants to go back to see them. I hope they can find a good bowling alley next to their new house because Briley expects bowling when she goes to Iowa.
After Iowa came my 29th birthday and it was a good one. The parent's at my school sent me an Edible Arrangement which I should have taken a picture of but forgot. Briley's class called me back to her room later in the day. When I went back, they all began to sing Happy Birthday. Briley walked up to me with a handful of birthday cards that they had all made me and she was so darn cute. She had turned bright red and had a big smile on her face. She was very proud of herself:) That night we ate at Garrozzo's and then had cake and presents. Andy gave me a kindle and I am so excited to start using it. It looks like it will be so handy.
Last weekend my Dad and sister came to visit. It was kind of a nasty weekend so we couldn't get out and do a lot, but we did make it to the National WW1 museum on Sunday. I suggest to everyone that they make time to see it. While we were there, my Dad asked if there were anymore WW1 vetrans alive. Well, the last WW1 vetran passed away that day. Kind of strange.
Lissy came this weekend to do a few photo shoots and to go antiquing. I got an amzing dining room table that I am sooo excited about. Thank you to Lissy and Jared who are better at negotiating than me. The lady told me that she didn't plan on selling the table until next month and I said okay I'll wait, but Lissy and Jared pushed. Now I have a table that is just what I had pictured in my head. I had seen a table similar to it in December at another antique store and thought it was too expensive. I never thought I would find another one like it and be able to get it for such a deal.
