Two weeks ago Briley's best friend Cooper came over to play. This has been Briley's buddy since she started in the infant room at school. Unfortunately Cooper left school in December to start preschool in the same school that his siblings go for elementary. His Mom and I have vowed to keep up with the play dates because his Mom has a plans for the two of them someday. This was Cooper's first time at coming to our house to play, but you wouldn't be able to tell. He hopped out of his Dad's car and darted right for the house with no hesitation. The two of them together just make me giggle a little because they both are kind of quirky. They did a little singing, driving the Barbie jeep, headed to the park, and raided my kitchen when I wasn't around. I walked in at one point to Cooper stuffing thin mints in his mouth that I have hidden in the freezer and cutting open a bag of chocolate chips with my kitchen shears.
Baylor went to the doctor the week after his birthday and he has now dropped off the charts at 17 pounds 9.8 ounces. This however is still bigger than what Briley was at the same age. I'm just glad that the doctor now realizes that we just have little kiddos and Baylor doesn't have to go into all of the blood work that Briley had to do when she was little. He is cruising around furniture more and he has pretty good control with his walker. I still don't see him walking in the near future, but he is heading in the right direction. I think the teacher's in his room are ready for him to walk so that he can move on to the next classroom. All I hear all day from my office is "Baylor Michael NO" That child is into everything and so darn persistent (especially when it comes to an open computer, remote control, or stereo). He also has this new thing where he will wrap his arms and legs around your leg and not let go. This usually happens when I'm cooking and when his teachers are changing a child's pants. One of his teachers dragged him across the room today and he did not let go. He is like a little monkey!
This past Friday Briley went to her first sleepover with her friend Ainsley. She was sooo excited about going . She told Andy that morning that he could sleep in her bed that night since she wouldn't be home. That night they went to Red Robin for an onion ring tower. They then went back to take a bath and watch a movie. Briley thought they had a really cool bathtub and it was hard for them to get her out. It had a seat in it that she could sit on and slide down into the tub. She told them it was the coolest bath tub that she had ever been in. The night overall went well and of course she didn't miss us. This girl will have no problem going to kamp someday.
