It is hard to believe that Christmas is only a week away! I feel like this month has really flown by which in a way kind of makes me sad. I'm not quite ready for it all to be over and the darkness that follows when the lights are turned off and the trees are taken down. Briley has been so much fun to watch during the season this year. She has such an excitement for the holidays. She has already told us that she is going to be the first one up on Christmas. Her plan is to get up, go down and look at her presents, and then come and wake us up. I don't know what she will do when she gets up and the stairs are blocked with wrapping paper:)

Holiday Festivities
We have been busy with school parties, making treats for the neighbors and teachers, wrapping presents, and watching Christmas movies. Last weekend we made the trip to see Santa. Much to our surprise, Baylor did not cry. He sat on Santa's lap and just stared. Briley was really upset about getting hurried through the line and did not get to tell him all that she was asking for. We assured her that the elf would send the message on to him.
This past Thursday was Briley's first dance recital and she was so darn cute. Her studio did a holiday performance benefit for Operation Breakthrough with all the proceeds from the tickets going to their organization. Briley danced to Jingle Bell Rock and she was beaming. She loved being in that spotlight. She kept waving and putting her hands over her eyes to try and find us in the crowd. We'll have to work on a little more dancing and a little less waving for the next recital.
We still have a few more fun activities planned before the big day so hopefully I will be able to post again before Christmas, but if not, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
