Yesterday we took a day trip to Columbia to watch the Tigers play Texas Tech. My Dad met us there for a 2:30 game and the weather was perfect for November. I thought we would for sure be in our winter coats for this game but it turned out to be beautiful. The game started off a little slow and quiet so Briley and I took that opportunity to go see Truman the Tiger... or as Briley called him the "Silly Lion." She has been watching a lot of The Lion King lately. Later in the game Papa took her to see the "Silly Cowboy" from the other team. I guess she likes to call all mascots silly.
Missouri was behind the whole game and so the crowd was pretty much dead and then all of a sudden we started coming back and in the last two minutes and twenty two seconds of the game we came back. We were up by four and Texas Tech had the ball. They quickly moved down the field and I thought our hopes were up for nothing but with three yards to go, Texas bounced the ball off of a player's helmet and the ball was in the hands of a Tiger. We won!! Briley and Baylor had so much fun at the game. Briley joined in on all the cheers, (she didn't always yell all of the correct letters) and Baylor loved clapping and bouncing his head to the music. After the game we ate and Briley was off with Papa to Kirksville for the week.
We went back home, and have spent today getting ready for Christmas. We bought a fake tree this year at the Kansas City Christmas Warehouse for a really good price. We had been paying 70 dollars each year for a fake one and just felt that we were tired of throwing the money away on a real tree. We are saving the ornaments for next weekend when Miss Briley comes back.
Lastly, Baylor has just learned how to get in the bathtub by himself. The other night I turned the water on and then ran to get a towel and wash cloth in the linen closet. I came back into the bathroom and Baylor was fully clothed playing in the bath. He has become so quick and he is literally into everything. Christmas decorations are really going to be a battle this year.

The ornaments are waiting for you to hang on the tree Miss Briley:)
