Andy has been busy updating light fixtures, bathroom mirrors, and ceiling fans. I love winter because it means he can't be out working on the yard and therefore updates things in the house which is more fun for me:) We replaced the can light above our kitchen sink with a pendant light and we did the same in the guest bedroom. Andy also added crown molding around the mirrors in all the bathrooms to make them look like framed mirrors. They look great. These little inexpensive changes have really made a big difference in the look of our kitchen and bathroom. Our to do list is growing smaller and smaller which is exciting. I have been busy doing my usual January organizing closets, cabinets, and the attic. I have also been trying to find summer clothes for our trip that is coming up. It is a challenge to find sundresses this time of year. I have started working on changing up our mantel. I never really liked the look of everything when we moved in but never changed it so when I took the Christmas stuff down, I didn't put anything back up. I have made a lot of trips to Michael's buying different styles and shapes of frames to see what looks best and I am getting there.
The kids have really been enjoying all of their new toys from Christmas. We used our easy bake and made delicious cookies with fondant icing, watching new movies, having showdowns with all of our nerf guns, and so much more. Baylor has been spending hours playing with Briley's dollhouse. I am beginning to think that Santa gave the gift to the wrong child. He loves it.
