Last weekend we went home for Easter, and to have a family birthday party for Baylor so it was pretty busy. We had Baylor's party on Saturday, and he wanted a party with pancakes so that is what we did. We had breakfast food with a choo choo theme. This year was the first time that he really got that it was his party and he made sure that everyone knew that it was "my birthday." The most frustrating part of his party was that his gifts had a lot of pieces and so he was upset that we wouldn't get them all out and put them together. He got a drum set that Jared was sweet enough to finally put together for him and then he made sure that no one got near it. Now it is Briley's turn and he still feels that any birthday party is his birthday party so that should be fun.
Easter morning was sunny and nice. It was great to finally get some spring weather. We went to Church, had lunch with my family, and of course the famous Early Easter egg hunt. After we drove home, the kids had their Easter egg hunt at our house. Andy and I were busy unpacking and Briley was watching the Bible on the history channel. The show was of course about the death of Jesus and his Resurrection. Briley sat there watching with her big eyes and her hands clasped to her chest. She just could not believe what they did to him. She then went to school, and told her teacher all about the holes they put in his hands. The show was a bit on the graphic side, but Briley now truly understands what Easter is all about.
This week I had my ultrasound, and Finley is looking good. I do have a low lying placenta so I will have to go in for more ultrasounds to see if it moves to where it should be, but they don't seem too worried about it. If it doesn't move, I will have to really take an easy and probably have a c-section in the end, but I have been there before so I'm going to try not to worry about it.
Last weekend the Cleaver family came down. It was Tab's 30th birthday, and so I bought her some cupcakes from Smallcakes and we sampled a few each day. We also did some shopping down at the Westbottoms and I finally found a bench that I love!!! It doesn't match our furniture but I love the style. I might redo it on down the road. Tabitha got some fun things for their house too, and the weather was perfect for the trip. Andy and Jonathan took the kids to Deanna Rose and then we met up later that afternoon. We spent the rest of the day relaxing on the back porch and enjoying the beautiful weather.
