Making Summer Memories

We have been busy enjoying every ounce of summer we can before Briley gets her tonsils out this week and Finley makes his/her arrival.  The rest of summer is going to fly by I have a feeling.
Last weekend we got out the lemonade stand on Friday night.  Briley was selling her lemonade for 55 dollars.  It is pretty special stuff.   Briley had a soccer get together with her team at a local park on Saturday to just kick the ball around and get familiar with the game again.  Her first game is August 24 (Finley due August 20th and Baylor was late, not that I want the baby to come early because the first day of school is August 15th).  We so did not plan this one out well:)  She was very excited to show up at practice to see her friend Rayna from her Kindergarten class.  They were so happy to see each other and Rayna came over for a playdate after practice.  Rayna lives just around the corner from us so I know these two will be riding bikes to each others houses before too long.
We also went to the blueberry patch on Saturday which was a little warm, but Briley and Baylor seemed to enjoy it.  Baylor picked every berry he saw whether it was green, red, or blue so I had to toss quite a few of his.  We got ourselves a little treat from their bakery to enjoy afterwards.
On Sunday we went to Church in the morning to meet the new priest who seems like he will be very good.  He was raised here and is excited to be back in the community.  He is younger, which I think may be good. We also went with our neighbors to their pool at the Jewish Community Center. Their facility is one of the best in the area and the kids both loved it.  Briley started going down the water slides.  She was so excited to be able to start doing this.  Every year she hopes to be tall enough and this year she was according to some lifeguards.  There was one that wouldn't let her so she would wait for her shift up there to be over and then she would go again.
This weekend we tried making it all about Briley:)  Her surgery is on Tuesday so we wanted her to have fun this weekend and enjoy it.  We went to Despicable Me 2 on Saturday and we all enjoyed that.  It is the first time Baylor has sat through a movie so that was a plus.  We did sit by a guy who came by himself and had one of those really loud laughs.  He laughed at everything even if it really wasn't that funny.  Andy and I kept looking at each other like, it this for real?  I was waiting for hidden cameras to come out:)  We also went to the store to stock up on Jell-O, pudding, popsicles, fudge pops, ice cream, and juice.  We are stocked for the week.
Sunday we went to Church and the Assistant Priest gave his first homily.  He is just out of the seminary and probably around 22 years old.  You could tell he was a little nervous and had a few mess ups along the way, but I think he will be great at leading the youth.  Andy liked the fact that he had it wrapped up in forty five minutes:)  Afterwards, Andy went in to work and the kids and I spent the day at the pool.  Briley spent her time on the slides and Baylor enjoyed going into the water till he got to the ladder and then he would climb out and do the circle again.  Round and round all day.

The last picture of Finley before we get to meet him/her.

Do you think she has enough stuffed animals?
