It is hard to believe that Finley has been a part of our family for only six weeks, because it seems as though she has always been here. She had some big firsts last week that were pretty exciting for me. We moved her to her own bed last Monday and she slept through the night on Wednesday! I'm so excited to finally get back to getting a better nights sleep. I am so lucky to have babies who sleep; I guess they just understand that their Mama requires sleep.
Finley also started smiling last week on Thursday which was perfect since it was Andy's birthday. I just love it when their little personalities start to take shape and hers definitely is. She is not the most patient child, but then again none of our children are. Her little wrinkled forehead makes me laugh because it looks like she is always really thinking about things. It is always hard for me to get a picture without her looking mad. Her smile just melts my heart and can make your day and I really need to catch it on camera.
Two weekends ago we went down to the Plaza Art Fair which is always fun. We had some great food and saw some really fun art. It is always neat to see all of the artists and where they come from. We also went to Church on Sunday for the first time since Finley was born, and it went surprisingly smooth. It is nice to get back into the groove of things.
This past weekend we went to St. Louis for Andy's New Father/Birthday gift. We went to Cardinal's/Cub's game on Friday and it was so much fun to watch the Cardinals become NL Central champions. The kids were all great during the game, but I think Briley enjoyed it the most. She spent the whole time dancing to try to get on tv. Unfortunately she didn't make it on.
On Saturday we went down to Taste of St. Louis which was basically like the Plaza Art Fair without the art and little more food. We ate a little from Italy, a little from Mexico, threw in some BBQ, and topped it off with cheesecake. Delicious! It was a great weekend and our kid's were sad to see it end. Baylor keeps asking me when we are going back to Brady's house.
