Life with Three

Life has been pretty good in the Early household lately.  Finley is doing great and growing like a weed.  She went in for a weight check this week and is already at nine pounds.  It always makes me a little sad at how fast they grow at this stage.  She is also becoming much more alert, and has been sleeping well for the most part at night.
Baylor has been having fun with special time with me while Briley is at school.  We have been playing baseball, going to the train garden, and to Deanna Rose Farmstead today.  The train garden is part of the Arboretum, and on Tuesdays it is free.  They have a caboose that you can climb on and model trains that go through the garden and under the sidewalks. He loved it!  He keeps asking when we are going back so I guess we will have to soon.
Today we went to Deanna Rose.  I picked him up from school and asked him if he wanted to go and he threw his arms up and said he was so excited.  We checked out the animals, played on the playground, fed the ducks, had a picnic, and finished with a little ice cream from the ice cream parlor.  The boy was in heaven.
Briley has been loving school this year.  She seems to be soaking it all in and always comes home with a new fact for me.  They are talking about the planets right now and she is really into it.  She also begged me to let her ride the bus home from school because her friend Rayna rides the bus.  Bonus for me because I don't have to wait in that pick up line...kind of a nightmare.  Baylor and I sit outside and wait for the bus to drop her off each day.  She steps off and starts running to the house in a sprint.  I don't know why she takes off running everyday, but I taped her today because it makes me laugh.  There are nine kids that get off at the stop and she is the only one that takes off running.  I guess she is excited to see us.
She is also in full swing with soccer and doing a great job.  She has scored one goal so far.  She is feisty out there, and one of the parents told me that they get excited when their daughter is on Briley's team because they like to watch her play.  I'm glad she is enjoying it so much.
A couple weekends ago we went home for Andy's Mom's birthday which was fun.  We had it at Baring Lake and it could not have been more perfect.  It truly was a great summer night, and Lissy did such a great job heading it up. Andy was in charge of pictures because I forgot my camera, and he really captured the night.  It was also a great weekend to spend time with family and make our rounds with Finley.

Briley cleaned her room the other day and made this sign for her door so Baylor wouldn't come in and mess it up.  It says No Baylor with a X through him, but she did put a rainbow over his head.

I think my dad is batman.
