Vacation 2014

This year we went to our usual place on 30A with my Mom, Jeff, and Asa.  We flew this year instead of driving, and it was so much easier.  We had a little hiccup leaving Kansas City and we were going to miss our connecting flight, but lucky for us  there were 68 people on our flight that were doing the same connection so they held the plane for us.  Other than that, it was smooth sailing.  We arrived in Florida around 2:30 and made a stop at the Donut Hole before driving on to our house in Seacrest.
I worried about Finley on the beach because she is one that does not like to snuggle and I thought I would be spending much of the time at the house so she could sleep, but she surprised us and took her naps on the beach in my lap.  Briley spent the week making sandcastles with Asa and Andy, Baylor spent the week taking naps under the umbrella and playing in the sand.  I read two books while I sat under the umbrella holding Finley.  The water was so clear this year and some days there were no waves so it looked like a giant pool.  Very cool, but Briley was not a fan of all the fish you could see.
Andy and I did get a night out and we tried Cafe Thirty-A which was really good.  We got the Banana Beignets with homemade macadamia nut ice cream for dessert and it was the highlight of the meal.  So good!  My Mom and Jeff tried Old Florida Fish House for their anniversary and they loved it.  It was kind of fun to try new places while we were there.
We spent a few nights in Seaside of course and enjoyed Frostbites and a fun concert.  We also just enjoyed walking around and seeing what was new since our last visit.  Overall, we had a great trip and are counting down until next year's visit(11 months to go).

Had to make a couple trips to the donut truck.

Concert time.

The face we kept getting when we told Baylor to smile.

Showing us his muscles.

A lovely Briley picture.
