Last Days of Summer and Back to School

Well summer has officially ended and we went out with a bang.  The weekend after vacation we packed up again and made our way to Louisville, but we first stopped in St. Louis to meet Charlotte.  She is absolutely precious, and it was great to snuggle with her a little bit before making our way to Kentucky.
As we pulled into Louisville, we had the Bobzien's and Lissy meet us at the Louisville slugger museum.  It was fun to watch them make the bats in the factory and then to see all the old bats of old baseball players.  After the tour we went to Amanda and Todd's house to get unpacked and wait for everyone else to get there.
We celebrated Amanda's 40th birthday party Saturday night and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves although some did not feel as good the next morning.  Wine tastings can do that to you when they are serving you a full glass to taste the wine each time;)  The kids all stayed at home with babysitters and my child made a great first impression by standing at the top of the stairs, and asking them if they would like to come up there and get high.  Oh Baylor... There was a great turn out, the food was delicious, and decorations looked perfect.  All in all it was a great weekend.
When we got home, the kids had three days left of summer so we spent time at the pool, went to this new really cool ropes playground that was built this year, and topped it off with a skyscraper milkshake at Winstead's.  Overall, I think the kids had a good summer, but I am ready to get back to a schedule and I think they are too.
On Wednesday morning we got an email letting Briley know who her teacher is this year and it is Mrs. Green .  I think Briley is going to really enjoy being in her class.  We went to school that afternoon to take school supplies in, and meet both Briley and Baylor's teachers.  Baylor had the same teacher two years ago, but he doesn't remember.  He was so excited to see all of his friends again!  He marched right in, and sat on his teacher's lap to play a game.  He is the one that has been asking me everyday for a month whether it was a school day.

Learning to take selfies.

Having fun at the Price Chopper block party.

Andy sent me this picture from Delaware.  I wonder what he is using the gas for?

Loving all the new old toys that I have been pulling out for her lately.
