So Long Summer, and Hello Fall

We have been having so much fun this fall.  A few weeks ago Andy and I went out to Sporting Park to see Zac Brown Band as our anniversary gift to each other.  We were a little disappointed overall with the show, but we might be in the minority. They had some cool effects, which was fun to watch, but the show didn't flow well.  They lost the crowd at the beginning of the show when he started introducing the band and each band member did an instrumental solo song.  Kind of got a little boring to listen to.  They are very talented don't get me wrong, but a whole song each was a bit much.  They also sang a lot of songs that weren't their own.  I came to hear their songs, and was sad when they didn't sing my favorite one.  Oh well, we still enjoy their music and the second part of the show was really good.
Last weekend Briley got out of school early on Friday so I took them to Louisburg for some cider donuts and cider.  They were so excited to go, and luckily it wasn't that crowded.  We stocked up on donuts because Papa was coming into town and he enjoys them.  After playing and watching them make cider, we came back home and waited patiently for Grandma, Papa, Owen, and Lola to come to town.  They came to watch Briley and Baylor play soccer on Saturday and we spent some time at Deanna Rose between the games.
I think Owen and Lola really enjoyed going to the Farmstead.  They rode some tractors, fed / rode the goats, checked out the cows and other animals, and played on the playground.  We didn't get a picture of it, but Owen decided to get on a goat and ride it like a horse which was pretty funny to watch.  We finished the day by eating at Joe's formally known as Oklahoma Joe's.  They have changed their name.  I think we were all a little exhausted by the end of the day.
Soccer takes our weekends, but we love watching Briley and Baylor.  We had some friends that gave us tickets to see Sporting KC this past Tuesday, and I didn't tell Briley we were going until she got home from school.  Soccer practice had been cancelled for the night so we thought we would go learn some moves from the pros.  Briley sat next to Andy and asked question after question during the game.  She was upset when we had to leave, but it was getting late and Finley was ready for bed.  We left fifteen minutes before the game ended and of course they scored a goal as we were walking out.  I think the final ended up being 3-0 so we won.  I don't think I have ever seen her get so excited about going to a game before.  She kept telling me the whole next day how much fun she had.  I guess we really need to make it a priority to take her to some more games; its harder now to find tickets because they are so good.  Kansas City is becoming a soccer town.

This is Briley needing a little snuggle time because I had her downsize her stuffed animal collection.  I gave her a rubbermaid box that would fit under her bed so they wouldn't be too far away.  I went in later and she was crying as she put them away.  That girl and her animals.  Baylor of course never misses a snuggle and he ended up falling asleep.

Baylor was helping me make pumpkin brownies today and we dropped some, but Finley was quick to roll her tongue all over the floor to clean it up.
