Baseball Fever

Our house has been consumed with baseball!  This is one of my favorite times of year, but also can be one of the most stressful in our house if you know what I mean;)  Everything revolves around when the Cardinals play, and now you add the Royals to the mix.  I am so excited that the Royals have made it to the World Series after 29 years.  They are a fun team to watch, and you can tell that they love what they are doing.  Growing up we went to both Royals and Cardinals games, but after losing year after year I lost touch with the Royals unless they were playing the Cardinals.  My brother surprisingly has never lost hope. He would come down here at least once a season to go to a game, and the thing is he wasn't even alive to see a winning Royals team.  I'm excited for the team, the city, and those loyal fans who have stuck it out for so many years.  Now if the Cardinals could step it up tonight and win, that would be great.
We celebrated Andy's birthday a few weeks ago and of course the Cardinals were on so that is what we did.  I made his usual request of fried chicken and then we had a new peanut butter chocolate cake that I tried out and it was pretty good.
Two weeks ago we had soccer and then it was off to Kirksville for a wedding.  The kids went to the Wizards game while we were at the wedding and they are still talking about it.  Briley has been trying to practice tricks since then.  On Sunday, we went to the Pumpkin patch with the Farwell clan and enjoyed the beautiful day, and then it was time to go home.
Finley started walking this week!  She had been taking steps for a while now, but just over the past few days she has started walking more than her scooting.  Her clothes will hopefully last a little longer now.  She is also getting her last set of teeth for a while and I am happy about that.  She is not handle the pain of teething very well so we will all be glad when that phase is over for her.
We had an ultrasound two weeks ago and everything is looking pretty good so far.  I have to go back in for another ultrasound in December because I have a low lying placenta, but I had that with Finley so hopefully it will go okay again.  This little one is a mover and a shaker so it made it hard for them to get any pictures that were not blurry.
That is about all that is going on right now, but we have a busy week ahead of us with Night of the Living Farm, another wedding, our annual pumpkin carving party, Briley's last soccer game, and her surprise trip with her friend Rayna next weekend.  Some things I wait to tell her because otherwise she would probably drive me bananas.

Briley and Baylor decorated Andy's presents.
