Before Atticus turns four months, I need to post his three month pictures. At three months, Atticus loves to talk, smile, and chew on his hands. I could not hardly get a picture of him without his hands in his mouth. He has also started grabbing toys on his play mat. He rolled over on Monday, but it is the only time that I have seen him do it so I don't know if that is official or a coincidence.
We have been busy trying to check things off of our bucket list for summer time. I always feel like we usually take our time at the beginning, and then we don't get as much done as we would like. We went on the Fairy Trail that Sara had seen on the news. Unfortunately someone has taken down a lot of the little houses, but we did find a few that still stood. I'm sad I didn't know about it when it was still going.
We made a trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead. They all enjoy going, and Finley is really starting to love seeing all of the animals...except when they get too close. This is always my go to adventure since it is so close, and free.
Last weekend was Briley's dance recital, so my Mom, Molly, Ellie, and Andy's parents came down. My Mom came in on Friday so we took Baylor on his date night from his birthday. It was a long overdue night. Baylor wanted to go bowling so we went over to find out they had closed for good! Could not believe it. So, we ended up taking him to a park to play. After that, we took him to a local restaurant where our neighbor's (Rex's Dad) band was playing that night. Baylor's friends Rex and Amelia were going to meet us there. We ordered drinks and some food while we waited for everyone to get there. Just as the waitress sat our drinks down, Baylor told us he didn't feel good and started throwing up. Andy ran him outside as he left a trail while I tried to help the waitress clean up the mess. We think he was so nervous about it being too loud that he made himself sick. I think he may need a second date.
The dance recital was Saturday afternoon, and Briley said this is her last one. We will see if she changes her mind. After the recital, we took everyone down to Q39 BBQ for dinner and it was again delicious. My Mom ended up staying until Monday so that I could go to the dentist without the kids Monday morning, and then we went to the new Home store that opened up before she left.
Love this painting that Grandma did:)
Andy left on Sunday after the dance recital for a conference in New York City. I have to say I was completely jealous that he was going to New York and staying in Time Square. It didn't help that he sent me these pictures:
I know that most of the time he was sitting in meetings, but it still was hard to take. After his trip we decided that we are going to maybe go to New York for our ten/eleven year anniversary. We had originally planned on going some place tropical, but I think an adventurous trip might be more fun. He got just enough of New York that he really wants to see more, and New York is on the top of my bucket list. He even checked out the possible hotels for us to stay at while we are there, and so I think we have even decided on that. Since our hotel and airfare will be taken care of, we can really go all out on the fun once we are there. Now for the planning...
The weather finally got warm enough last week for the pool, and we ended up going three times. Briley is now officially tall enough for the water slides, Baylor is now officially tall enough for the lily pads, and Finley is my little risk taker in the water.
We have also had a nest in our bush that is in our front window. They make a nest there every year, but usually it is hard to get a picture because the leaves cover it. My bush is starting to die I think and so we have some bare spots so the kids could really watch the process of their growth. It was funny because the nest was empty one day, and then all of a sudden two of the birds were back. I think they decided it was the better life to sit in the nest, and be fed.
