Checking off our Bucket List

After vacation, we came home to unseasonably cool weather.  I decided to take advantage of the weather, and we went out to the blueberry patch.  Finley of course loves blueberries, and I couldn't stop her from eating every blueberry she found whether they were ripe or not.  She would shove in handfuls of them before I could stop her.  I think she thought this was the best place on earth.

We finished up our softball and baseball season last week, and soccer started yesterday. I had hope we had a little more of a break before starting the next season, but oh well.  The girls had probably the best game of the season, and Briley hit the ball every time she was up to bat.  It was a perfect way to end the season.

Baylor's season was entertaining to watch.  I have realized that he is not a competitive boy when it comes to sports.  He is out there to have fun, and chat with everyone that is next to him.  I'm curious to see what he will be like next year.
I took Briley and Baylor to Starlight a few weeks ago to see Cinderella.  I didn't tell them until the day of the show, and they were so excited.  It's the first time I have taken Baylor with us since he was a baby.  We went a little early to walk around the activities that they have set up before the show, check out the orchestra, and get our kettle corn.  About thirty minutes into the show, and Baylor was already asking me when we were going to leave.  By the time the second act started he was sawing logs.  He did enjoy his popcorn though.  He kept eating a bite, closing the bag, and then saying he was saving the rest for Daddy.  At the end of the show, I had a bag of crumbs to take home to Daddy.

Last weekend we went to St. Louis for a family friend's wedding.  It was an adult's only wedding, so I took the kids and checked in to our hotel while Andy went to the wedding.  That night we had babysitter's for all of the kids, and Atticus came with us.  The location was at Forest Park Visitors Center, and it turned out really pretty.  It was nice to have a night out even if we did have one kiddo with us.  He's our easy going boy.
The next day was Charlotte's birthday and it was absolutely adorable.  Sara did a great job with her theme.  Finley has been singing "Old Miss Charlotte and Happy Birthday " ever since.  So much fun!

My dates to the wedding.

We have also been busy checking out some parks, having a breakfast picnic before it gets too hot, and swimming lessons.  We also checked off enjoying a Skyscraper milkshake at Winstead's.

Baylor loves putting people in jail at Antioch Park

We also made a huge home purchase that was not an exciting one, but it's done.  We replaced our air conditioner, furnace, and hot water heater.  It is one of those things that we needed to do, but its not like having your kitchen remodeled.  Now we need to replace the windows, carpet, new front door, and kitchen.  Oh the joys of a fixer upper:)
Atticus Edition
Atticus has started eating baby food since we got back home, and I don't think there is anything that he hasn't liked yet.  I'm hoping he is as good of an eater as Finley.  He also started rolling from his back to his front last week, so I guess we won't be leaving him on the couch anymore;)
I took some four month, close to five month pictures of him when we got home, and of course Finley had to join in on the fun.
First food was Squash.

Atticus:  A little worried
Finley:  Up to something

Finley:  Kiss my hand, I am the princess...

Finally Baylor:
He has been so funny lately and I need to record his quotes for the month.
He looked into my eyes the other day and said,"Mommy, your eyes are yellow, like a monster."
If you sit down on the couch, Baylor wants to snuggle.  The other day he snuggled up next to me and said, "Mommy you are like a warm marshmallow."  I don't know if I would take that as a compliment.
Lastly, I video taped him at dinner the other night talking about wanting a limo.  I asked him why he was going to buy one and he said he needed it for all his kids.  I asked him how many kids he was going to have, and he said 18.
