Birthdays and the Fourth of July

Finley had her first sleep over at our house a couple of weeks ago.  She and Lily have been wanting to have sleep overs since they began talking.  Lily is moving to California this week, and so we thought we better get that sleepover in before she moves.  We went to the school playground for awhile, and then they wanted to have a fancy tea party.  That night Lily woke up a couple of times to let us know she had to go to the bathroom, and then I think she got confused as to where she was, but overall they did great.  So sad to see them move so far.
We went home on the Friday before the Fourth to celebrate my Uncle Rick's 60th birthday.  It was a surprise party, and he was without a doubt surprised by it.  My dad and brother took him out while everyone arrived at their house, and even after seeing all of the cars he didn't have a clue that he was about to get surprised.  It was so much fun to celebrate with him and see so many people that I haven't seen in awhile.
Saturday was spent sitting by the pool, and then Andy's parents had their Fourth of July party that night.  Baylor has become a little pyro this year.  I think it is the first year that he got the chance to shoot off fireworks, and he thought it was pretty cool.  He was trying to light up everything whether it should have been or not.  We need to keep the lighters away from him. Atticus liked watching them from my lap, and would say "it's loud" every time one would go off.
Sunday was another day of lounging by the pool, and then we went out to eat with my dad for his birthday.  We ate at Fort Chariton, and then we did a game of washers before heading back into town.  We gave him a card, and a money tree to put towards his trip to Whitefish next year.
Monday was yet another day by the pool, and then we went to my Mom's for dinner that night.  Andy and I were laughing because we ate hamburgers and hot dogs for four days in a row, but it is not a meal that we really get tired of.
We decided to leave on the Fourth of July to go back home so Andy could work for two days before we leave again for Emmie's baptism and birthday party.  I'm going to try to get the house cleaned up, and things organized for my Dad and Asa when they come down to watch the kids this week. We did some things around the house, and then we got ice cream and found a spot to watch the fireworks.
