First, we would like to wish everyone a belated Happy Turkey Day; as previously mentioned, we spent our Thanksgiving at my Grandpa Mike and Karen’s house in Colorado Springs, CO. This was Briley’s first plane ride and she minus a couple dirty diapers on the way out, she handled the trip like a pro. We would like to thank Grandpa Mike and Karen for flying us out there and paying for our hotel room; they showed us an abundance of hospitality and we greatly appreciate it. It was great to see everyone and be around all of the new great grandchildren; it’s fun to see the family evolve and grow.
Briley had a great time hanging out with all of her cousins and anytime we were around them, she was perfectly content sitting on the floor and playing, that was a first. Autumn and I have noticed that when we are around other people, Briley knows how to turn on the charm; it is only when she is alone with us that she gets grumpy. While we were there Briley experienced a couple more firsts; this was her first time seeing the snow and her first time seeing Santa Clause and again she put on the charm for the big man, what a smart girl.
On Friday night we went to a country dinner show at the Flying W Ranch and Briley was really enjoying the songs, she was bouncing up and down and smiling the whole time they played. Towards the end of the show Autumn was holding her when she felt something warm on her leg, Briley had made a mess all over herself and Autumn’s leg, so needless to say we had to make a quick exit. What made it even better was that we were sitting front and center so there was no wake to sneak out. While at the Flying W Ranch, we also celebrated cousin Ellie’s first Birthday since everyone was there, her actual birthday is on Tuesday, I can’t believe she is already one. What a big girl.
On our flight back Saturday, the twenty-four Early’s took up more than half the seats, it was like our own private flight. We made it home just in time to watch Mizzou beat Kansas to move one step closer to their first ever national championship, how exciting. Well we better get going, Briley has found the Christmas Tree and is starting to pull off the ornaments.
We have been having issues with the slide show so just click the link below for pictures.
