Cravings

It's been a while since I have posted, but there really hasn't been a lot going on in our house lately.  We all battled the flu after Christmas, and Andy didn't even go back to boxing till this week because that cough seemed to last for days.  I called in one day because I felt so miserable and it was the first time in six years that I have done that.  We all seem to be doing better and hopefully we'll stay healthy the rest of the winter.
I am wrapping up the first trimester of this pregnancy and it has been much different from the other two.    It's funny that all three pregnancies have been different.  This time around I have had more nausea than the last.  If I don't eat I get nauseous so I have been eating more which then makes me worried that I am going to be an elephant by the end of it.  I also found that if I eat a snack before I go to bed I don't feel so bad in the mornings.
I have been craving beef which is how it was with Briley.  A big juicy steak really makes my mouth water.  My other craving is orange juice and pineapple-mango smoothies from McDonalds.  If you haven't had one of those smoothies, you are missing out.  Delicious!   I have also found that sadly, I cannot stand the smell of coffee which makes me sad.  For awhile, I would make coffee the night before thinking it would be fine, and every morning I dump it out.  I can drink lattes because they don't have as strong of a smell, but that is about it.  Since I get up at 5:30 a.m., this has been a struggle for me to not have caffeine and soda carbonation upsets my stomach in the morning so I have just been fighting the urge to not fall asleep at work.  I just keep hoping it won't last much longer.
Briley has been busy with birthday parties and school.  She is in Kindergarten Part 2 she says which means it is time to be serious and buckle down.  Baylor has been busy with his new train set that he got for Christmas.  We have yet to move it to the basement even though it is a bit of an eye sore.  I just know he will quit playing with it when it moves downstairs.

Fell asleep while in time out.

Andy and I got a babysitter this afternoon and went to see Lincoln which we really enjoyed.  There are so many movies on my list to see and it has been probably six months since we have gone to one.  Am-I miss not having you come to babysit our kiddos every now and then:(  After the movie, we went to Home Depot and looked at tile for our bathrooms.  That is the next project on our never ending list and I am so excited to Andy to get started when he can find the time.
