A few weeks ago we had the Farwell family come to Kansas City to go to a Harlem Globetrotters game. The kids are still talking about how much fun it was to watch them do their tricks. Baylor keeps asking if he can do some of the tricks during his games. He is itching to make a big slide while dribbling.
After the game we took the kids to Urban Air for a little while, and Andrew took Lincoln his basketball game in St. Joseph. It was fun to have them all come for the night. The kids always look forward to having cousins at their house.
A funny story from Baylor that I want to make sure I remember is I got a text from a mom who has a daughter in his class. I guess Baylor gave her a ring at school, that she didn't take but had told her mom it was gold with a diamond. She was afraid he had raided my jewelry box so she wanted to make sure I knew. He assured me it was not my ring, but didn't want to talk about it. I asked his teacher at conferences, and she started laughing. She had no idea he had tried to give Annie a ring, but she knew where he had it. It turns out it was from the little vending machines at soccer. That boy makes me laugh.
Valentine's Day week was busy with parties. I usually make their Valentines but this year we just bought them, and it was one less thing I had to do. Baylor's party was on Tuesday, Atticus's was Wednesday, and Finley's was on Thursday. So confusing for me to keep it all straight. Next year will be better when we have at least one less school. For Valentine's Andy grilled steaks, and I made a french silk pie. The kids all got bath bombs in their mailboxes that simply said "you are the bomb" They were so excited to take their baths because each bomb had a little trinket in it that they had to find out what it was.
That Friday we had a beat the winter blues get together at our house. It was the middle of another snow storm, but everyone still came. It helped that we just invited the neighbors so they didn't have far to go. It went well, and many texted us afterwards saying they had a great time. It was nice to see everyone since we have been cooped up all winter. The only picture I took was of Andy's bar. We had just about everything anyone could possibly want. Going to have to make it an annual party or at least when we have winters like this.

February Happenings
Our weather station the other day, and it really made me laugh. We all have the same thoughts on this winter.
