Miss Finley's birthday was on a Wednesday this year, and the first year of not having her home all day with me on her big day. I got up early to make a birthday breakfast for her, and then she was off to school. At the end of the day she walked out with her birthday crown on her head, and a smile from ear to ear.
She wanted I'mo's pizza for her dinner, and that sounded perfect to me. After dinner we opened presents, and she seemed to be excited about her Dorthy doll that was once mine, she loves her paper dolls, coding robot, soccer bag, jewelry box, and was most excited about her Chiefs shirt, and the three other Chiefs shirts that were in the box. It was a little surprise for all the kids that we were going to a game on that Saturday. They were all very excited since they have been begging us for awhile now to go.
After gifts it was cake time, and of course a lot of people calling with birthday wishes. Before going to bed she told me it was the best birthday ever.
This year is such a big one for Finley. I feel like they grow so much when they go off to school. She loves everything about it so far, and gets up excited to head out the door every day. Our social butterfly is busy making new friends, and having fun.
She is our little slice of sunshine, and it seems to be contagious to all that are around her. Her teacher sent me an email about her birthday the other day and said, "she is one sweet gal." I have to say I agree with her. Her excitement for life, and positive attitude adds the joy to our lives. We love you little girl.
