Happy 5th Birthday Atticus!

Atticus had a lot of celebrating for his birthday this year.  He wore the birthday button throughout Disneyland.  He loved all the characters wishing him a happy birthday each day, especially Lightening McQueen.  We then had a dinner with friends in San Diego where we celebrated his and Macy's upcoming birthday.  His actual birthday fell on the day we left to come home.
He was one happy boy that he got to celebrate his big day by taking a plane ride.  He loves all transportation vehicles so he was happy to get his window seat to enjoy the three hour flight.
That night, we had his favorite meal of pancakes, and a Cars themed cake.  He opened his presents and was excited about his new leaf blower.  He is always running the battery out on our neighbors so we thought maybe he would enjoy having his own.  Finley made him a little fan for hot days and a card that was pretty sweet.  He was one happy boy.
Baylor picked trick candles for the birthday cake, and the kids all thought that was pretty funny.  Finley and Atticus worked really hard to finally blow them out.  I'm sure that funny trick will continue for the next few birthdays.
Atticus at five loves to be busy. He is always playing outside, helping the neighbors in their yards, or racing cars with us.  He has gotten a bigger vocabulary, and I love the way he sometimes says the wrong words when he is talking.  He talks about tomatoes(tornados) that come, things are sometimes a little turkey(tricky).  He is ready to be a big boy and go to school with his sister and brother.  Kindergarten round up is just around the corner believe it or not.  He may have an attachment to his Mom, but he misses his Dad so much when he is out of town.  He loves to give us bear hugs.  He is great at terrorizing his siblings like hiding the remote from Briley or running off with one of Finley's toys.  He can absolutely be a stinker, but I guess that is the job of your little brother.  Our days are full of adventure because of you Mr. Atticus, and I'm excited for you and the adventures that this year holds.
