Happy Birthday Andy!

Andy's birthday was this last weekend. He spent his birthday going to a Chiefs game with the Cleaver crew and then came home to a fried chicken dinner and he requested french silk pie for his cake this year. It is the first time I have made a french silk pie, but I must say it turned out pretty well. The Pioneer Woman will never steer you in the wrong direction. Lissy came into town to do a few shoots and to hang out with us this weekend also. We did a bit of an impromptu photo shoot on Saturday and I loved the way the pictures turned out. You will have to check out her blog because I do believe they are my favorite pictures that I have had taken of Briley before. They completely captured her spunky three year old attitude. THANK YOU LISSY!!! On Sunday, we went to the Cider Festival while Andy was at the game. We got some yummy doughnuts and just walked around for awhile before heading back to make the Birthday Boy's dinner. I believe Andy had a good birthday with the Chief's pulling off their third win of the season. Last weekend we had the first annual hot air balloon festival in town. It just so happened to be taking place just down the road from our house. We went out to eat a yummy meal at Stroud's with Grandpa Mike, Karen, Kaitlin, and Zane on Friday and our plan was to go to the festival on Saturday. Saturday morning we got up and this is what we could see from our back patio. They were low enough that we could talk up to them. Briley thought it was so exciting! We went out to the launch site that night but unfortunately there was a storm moving in so they did not do another launch or the balloon glow. We heard it was really neat on Friday night so we are sad that we missed out. I guess we will just have to check it out next year.
