Last week was a rainy cold week that definitely did not feel like summer. We only made it to the pool one time and the water was freezing, but the kids needed to get out of the house for a little bit so we went. Thursday morning was rainy, but it cleared out by the afternoon so I decided I would take Briley to the Starlight. Heather and Ainsley came along with us and we really had a great time. The show was really good and it was good to catch up with them.
Friday we drove back to Kirksville for the Early reunion that was on Saturday. It was really nice seeing everyone and the kids loved playing on the old slide, teeter totter, and merry go round. Things really got exciting when the music started. My kids love to dance. Baylor would come along and grab someones hand and drag them out whether they wanted to or not.
Sunday was Father's Day and I felt a little bad that Andy did not have a relaxing day. He hung my Dad's new light fixture, drove home, and then mowed the yard. While he mowed the kids and I got his presents ready and picked up Garozzo's so hopefully that helped. After dinner we showed him the video that I made that sums up his first seven years as a daddy. I have been wanting to do that for a while and never had time so I'm glad I was able to do it.
Yesterday we went to the pool and it was finally warm, not that the kids cared. Briley jumped off the diving board for the first time which was a pretty big deal for her. I know where she will be the rest of the summer.
