The Early Holy Palooza!

Two weekends ago we welcomed our family to town for the Early Holy Pallooza also known as First Communion, Baptism, and birthday party.  Saturday morning was Briley's First Communion, and I have to say that I think she was just a teeny bit excited about getting fancy even though she would never admit it.  She looked absolutely beautiful, but then again maybe I'm a tad bit biased.  We went to the Church, and I think the mass was very good.  The priest came down and talked to the children instead of to us, and he did a great job.  They told us that the children had a choice whether or not to take the wine, but Briley did not hesitate.  She had a big smile on her face as she went up, and took a drink.  She told us it was sweet and she could taste cherry in it.  I'm afraid we have an eight year old wine enthusiast.
After the mass we snapped a few pictures, and ate lunch at home.  I got the house ready for Briley's birthday while everyone else went to run shopping errands.  That evening we had her softball themed birthday, and it was surprisingly very low key.  We all kept talking about how calm and quiet the house was.  I think for the first time in a long time, there were more adults than children in the house. Sooo weird!
Sunday morning we got up and I got brunch ready to go for everyone.  We loaded back to go to Church for Baylor's baptism.  Surprisingly there were four other babies getting baptized.  It was the first time it hadn't just been us.  Atticus was great throughout Church and then decided to cry during the whole baptism.  From the sign of the cross on his head to pictures at the end.  Such a stinker!  We did feel bad for the other families, that they had to listen to him.  After Church it was more pictures, and then everyone started to pack up to go home.
Crazy busy weekend, but also a very special one.

This swimsuit was a joke, but Briley loves it.  She will look picturesque at the beach this summer.

Atticus was able to wear Andy's baptismal outfit, and I think it looks so darn cute on him.  Love that it was able to be passed down.
