Full Steam Ahead!

I don't know where the time has gone, but I am way behind on posting!  Life has been busy as we have began to get back into the school schedule.  Soccer, Girls on the Run, and Church have all began so we are back to our running.
I took Atticus and Finley to the doctor a few weeks ago for their well child checks.  They both did a great job.  Finley weighed 25 pounds and was 36 inches in height, and Atticus was 15 pounds 15 ounces and he was 27.5 inches tall. I was sad to find out that our doctor is quitting her practice at the end of the month, and it leaves us without a doctor again.  If anyone has one they love, let us know.

Briley is about halfway through her first year of playing a full 8 on 8 team.  They have won two games, and lost two games.  The last I heard they were in third place, but that could have changed after the amazing game they had yesterday.  They beat a team 10-0, which is the first time they have ever scored that many goals.  They did an excellent job of passing, staying in their positions, and executing goals.  Briley did not have a goal, but she assisted in a few so she was happy.  One of the Mom's has been taking pictures at the games, and I am so thankful.  She takes much better pictures than I ever could.

Baylor has been having a lot of fun with soccer this year.  He is one of the bigger ones on the team, which has been kind of nice for him.  He has scored a goal in each game that he has played.  His team this year is called the White Lions.  He has two more games left of his season and then he will be done.  I'm going to have to work on getting pictures of him at his next game.
We have also had a lot of visitors in the past couple of weeks.  Lissy came to town the first week of September to take some pictures.  We did a little shopping, Deanna Rose, and of course some Mexican to celebrate her birthday.  The kids loved having her in town.
A few days later, we had my Mom and Amity in town.  Amity hasn't been back to the midwest since February when Atticus was born.  Way too long!!  The kids were all very excited to see her.  We had a soccer game while she was here, trip to Ikea, and a trip to Q39 for dinner.  The trip was all too quick, but hopefully it won't be so long until we see her again.

Now for the highlight of our month...
Andy called me last Friday at around 2:30 and told me he had gotten tickets to go to a Sporting KC game that night.  So much fun!  It was even better when he told be they were front row seats with all you can eat and drink.  The kids got home from school, and we raced around to get there, but was able to park VIP so it made that easier.  We went in to the lounge for a really nice dinner buffet, and then we were on our way to our seats when the team walked through on their way to the field.  So cool!  We got our seats and then had to begin getting our snacks.  We got popcorn, nachos, ice cream sandwiches, and then Andy went to the dessert bar inside and came out with a plate of goodies.  You can guess who was in heaven.  All of us!  The team beat Dallas 3-1 to make the night complete.  I told the kids that they had better take it all in, because we will be heading back to the cheap seats from here on out.
Not a good picture, but this was the team going back to the locker room after the game. They stopped to give autographs, but of course I hadn't brought anything for them to sign.  I'll be more prepared the next time we have VIP access. Haha!

Finley kept yelling, "Go Cardinals!"
