We celebrated Andy's birthday at the end of September. It was on a Saturday this year so we decided to take advantage of that. I made breakfast for him that morning, and then we had no plans at all. Andy of course had to find a task to do, and so he decided to replace the storm door because it was starting to rot. That led us to also getting a new front door. That has been on my list since we have moved into this house. Jeff and my Mom were in town so Jeff was lucky enough to help with our project. Afterwards, we grabbed Stroud's for lunch because my Mom and Jeff have never eaten there before. It was delicious as always.

Andy's Birthday Bash and Soccer
Later that afternoon we celebrated Andy's birthday with a little cake. Andy loves Costco cakes(particularly red velvet, but it was gone) so Baylor helped me pick out a chocolate one. He thought Daddy would like a cake with the sun and rainbow on it.
That night my Mom and Jeff went to a Royal's game, and Andy and I went to the Plaza Art Fair. Andy and I have not been to the art fair by ourselves for a long time, but it was delightful to not be pushing a stroller through the crowds. We checked out the art, got some drinks, listened to a band, and ate steak sandwiches.
The next day we had soccer, and that night we let the kids stay up to see the lunar eclipse. Baylor saw it beginning, and then he went inside, and fell asleep on the couch. Briley however, grabbed a blanket, curled up in Andy's lap, and chatted with us. It was kind of fun to have a little one on one time with her.
Atticus has turned seven months old so I did take some pictures of him. He loves a bear that plays peek-a-boo so I added that to some of the pictures. He and Finley laugh and squeal every time it says peek-a-boo. It's pretty cute. Our little guy has been army crawling to get where he needs to go, but still is not sitting up. He has got four teeth now, and I think two more will be coming in soon. He has also started eating some puffs and Cheerios.
I was using the telephone book for him to put his feet on while he is in the exersaucer, but he decided to just tear it apart.
I'm in love with these eyelashes!
I finally was able to take some pictures of Baylor playing soccer. He has really gotten into playing this year. He has one more game to go before the season is over, but they gave out medals last week.
I also have to brag about Briley a little bit. We got a postcard in the mail this week from her computer teacher:
"I'm happy to tell you that Briley shows self discipline, respect, and compassion during computer class. I'm so proud of her. She is a joy to teach! Andy and I are so proud of her.
She also has decided to join the Green Team at school. If you ask her what that entails, she will tell you that she gets to go to school early, and pick up trash. Who wouldn't be excited about that? She also gets lessons on being green so watch out, I'm sure lectures from her will be coming.
I'll finish with Miss Finley. Our neighbor kids were all out in our backyard playing the other night, when we see Finley come out of the house carrying beverages for her friends. Oh that girl make me laugh!
