Finley Grace Turns 3!

Finley turned three on Sunday.  It is funny because it is hard for me to believe she is three, but at the same time she has been such an independent girl for some time.  She has always seemed older than what she really was.  Andy and I were just saying how Atticus is now the age that Finley was when he was born, and he seems like such a baby still.  Maybe it is because he will always be the baby.
As I said before, she is the life of the party.  It is amazing how quiet the house is these day while she is at school.  Out of all of our kids, she is not afraid to strike up a conversation with any person she meets.  It really amazes me how social she is because most children are not that way with strangers.  She loves all things girly, and that is so different from Briley.  She loves dressing up like a princess, playing with her dolls, the dollhouse, wearing high heels, and doing your hair and make up.  She loves putting on her princess dress and she will twirl around saying, "I am the princess of the world." You would never believe she was the middle child or maybe that is the reason she stands out.  She makes it a point that you know she is there.
Love this little girl so much.  She brings so much joy into our lives, and maybe a few gray hairs.  She is strong, opinionated, sassy, loving, fun, spunky, independent, and mischevious.  She stands up for her siblings, and is not intimidated by anything.  She is going to move mountains one day.
On her big day, she woke up to a room full of balloons.  She helped me make pancakes for breakfast, we painted her nails, and played outside.  When she laid down for her nap, extreme home makeovers began.  Andy went outside and built her playhouse.  I tied balloons to the top, and it was ready to go just in time.
After going to Briley's game, we came back and showed her the present.  Her excitement was so much fun to see!  After that we made dinner, had cake, gifts, and the rest of the night was spent in the backyard.  Finley wanted a strawberry cake for her birthday, and it really turned out to be good I thought.  Some were disappointed that she didn't choose chocolate.
The next day we got to celebrate at school.  I brought pink doughnuts with sprinkles and they were a hit.
