Halloween Fun!

Last weekend the kids had Friday off from school so I took them to Louisburg to get apple cider donuts.  It was just me so I had a hard time getting a good picture, but they had fun eating donuts and drinking apple cider.
That night we had our annual pumpkin carving party, but we deleted the pumpkin carving.  Andy and I kind of hate the cleaning up after that party, but people expect us to throw it.  This year we substituted a movie night instead, and it was a lot less work for us.  We watched Hocus Pocus, and the night was beautiful with a full moon to top it off.
This week was a crazy busy week for us.  Andy had a busy travel schedule where he went to Boston, Jacksonville, and then came back home.  He has really been swamped at work.  We had our usual schedule of soccer, Girls On The Run, and Church, but on Thursday Briley had a soccer camp with the Sporting KC players.  I have tried to get her into this camp before, and its kind of like trying to get dinner reservations at Disney.  She was so excited to do this, and had a friend from soccer with her.  They had the camp, and then they could get autographs afterwards.  They also got a fun little goodie bag with a water bottle, mini soccer ball, rally towel, and a backpack.  The best part was that it was free.
Friday morning we got up early, and went to school to collect food for the food drive during morning car line.
That night we went to the Night of the Living Farm.  The kids get excited for this every year.  They love getting to wear their costumes and trick or treat early.  They also really love going on the scary hayride, or at least Briley does.  This year some of our neighbors came along with us, and we had a great night.
On Saturday, Baylor had his last soccer game for the season, and then they went to Pella for Lola's birthday party. While they were gone, I packed up for our big surprise this week.  I am hopeful that I have all my ducks in a row.  It was weird to be home by myself.  I don't think that has happened since Briley came along.  That night I went to a Mom's Kindergarten meet and greet.  It was nice to meet the Mom's of a lot of the boys play with at school.  Andy sent me this picture of Baylor and Owen taking a bath.  They love their bubbles.!
