Meet The Early's: Happy 11th Birthday Briley Mae

Briley's birthday was on Wednesday. It was a rainy day which was kind of a bummer, but softball practice was cancelled so she only had Max's Milers after school and then religious ed. She requested monkey bread again that morning for breakfast, and then pancakes for dinner. It was a breakfast kind of day.

After we ate dinner we had her open her gifts. She got some new swimsuits for swim team, converse shoes from Am, Anne of Green Gables since she has been dying to know how the story ends, a bulletin board for her room, and then came the silly gifts. She opened an apple, a taxi cab, a picture of Starry Starry Night in a frame, tickets to a broadway show, a subway card from Andy's last trip, and a kids travel book for NYC. I honestly don't think I have ever seen her so excited about opening a gift. We can't wait to show her New York City!

Briley at eleven is still in that awesome stage. Maybe I will think every stage is awesome. She is still passionate about sports, and is going to try swim team this summer which should be fun. She is so outgoing. It amazes me how many friends she has made this year at her new school. I am so not one to get myself out there like her. If there is a club to be in, she will be in it. She is full of confidence, and that is one thing she will definitely need in the future. She is tough and stands up for what she believes in. Don't try to tell her chess is a better sport than soccer. She was fired up about that one today from school;). She loves her family beyond words. After I put the kids to bed she goes around to say goodnight and give them hugs. She still thinks Baylor hands down is the best dance partner in a competition. Briley Mae you make us very proud!
