My goodness our lives have been a whirlwind of craziness lately. Last week we had my open house at my school which turned out great, a going away party for one of the teachers, soccer, Briley's back to school night, the car breaks down, and then off to Kirksville for a weekend of festivities.
Friday night Briley and I fought the rain to go to Asa's football game. The field looks great and they pulled off a win which was exciting to watch even though it was raining sheets of rain. They beat Chillicothe and it is the first time in 28 years.
Saturday morning we started the planning for Lissy's big night which was so much fun. I really don't know how we pulled it off without her knowing, but I'm so glad we did; although we were all really hoping she would bust out crying when she walked in:) I don't think I have ever seen the the chaos that broke out when Lissy walked out the door for drinks. I was in charge of setting up the tables. I went to get the tablecloths and realized they were rectangle instead of round. Luckily a family friend came to the rescue with a random key to Sun Bright and we had tablecloths. Trouble was averted and tables got decorated. Although the party was supposed to be outside, it worked perfectly inside. The party was a blast and it was great seeing everyone come out to celebrate with Lissy.
We got up early on Sunday and pictures began. Lissy was sweet enough to give everyone gift baskets of alcohol, cigars, and make up to make everyone happy and not complaining. I loved the way they turned out and I am really excited to see them on my hard drive when Lissy comes down in a few weeks.
We left early on Monday to start the process of looking for a new car and ended up buying the first car that we checked out. We got it on Wednesday and have to take it back this weekend to get leather seats installed. It is a 2012 Durango and I think it is really going to be a good car for us. Andy is also really pumped about his new ride. Movin on up.
