Baylor's class recently had an antique roadshow. Parents were invited to come and hear about their antiques and then walk around to all the other classrooms to see everyone's items. It was fun to see what everyone brought. Baylor took an old tape recorder that we had. He loved walking around with it, and playing music. He also thought it was fun that he could record his voice with it.
The last weekend of March we went to Church for Parish Serve Day. We had a quick mass, and then everyone went out into the community to do service projects. We stayed at the Church to make new baby kits, and hygiene kits for Honduras, placemats for a nursing home, and grocery bag mats for the homeless. The last project we did not get finished and it is now sitting in the basement. I need to start working on it again after I get through Easter and Briley's birthday.
That same weekend we had Elliott the Elephant with us from Atticus's class. We took him to serve day, and also to see Dumbo. We really enjoyed going to see Dumbo, and hopefully Elliott enjoyed it to.
Two weeks ago we had Briley's spring choir concert. Briley's class performed songs of the 60's and 70's. It was a fun little show, and we had to laugh when the teacher told us to talk to our kids about growing up listening to these bands and going to concerts. I don't think she realized how young we are. Grandparents not parents grew up listening to the Beatles. 😂
Finley had Kindergarten round up on Friday. She was so excited for this special day, and was beaming when she walked into the school. She had a great time, and is counting down until she starts school officially.
Friday night Andy and I went to a party that one of Briley's friend's parents were having. It was a perfect night out, and they had a band set up in the garage along with a Mexican food truck at the end of their driveway. We talked about how much fun it would be to do this in our neighborhood sometime. A lot of the parents from her grade were there so it was good to talk to everyone. Such a fun idea to kick off warmer weather.
The next day I took Briley, Finley, and Atticus to Kirksville for Kelsey's bridal shower. Briley and I got fitted for our dresses, and then we dropped Atticus off with my Dad and Asa to go train watching. We spent the rest of the day just enjoying the beautiful weather.
While we were gone, Andy began working on our deck. He replaced the wood boards on the floor with trex boards. He has been working on it for a week, and it is now complete. I love the color and really think it looks great. Now he doesn't have to worry about staining, and replacing boards on it all the time. Now it is on to getting some landscaping completed around the house.
Lastly, softball and baseball games have started. Briley's first game was Monday night and they won. She was so excited about that. Baylor had a scrimmage that night, and he did well with that too. They are both on new teams this year.

April Happenings
Atticus's responses to questions crack me up. Whatever the question is, it involves a black truck. He also had police officers visit today with their motorcycles and he told his teacher he was going to be a doctor one day and have his own motorcycle.
Minsky's and Joe's merged to make the best pizza. So good!
Kindergarten round up
Finley was Kelsey's helper at the shower by handing her all of her gifts.
Briley gets to do Cotillion next year. The competition is fierce, but she got in.😀
